No way back, New York...

It's done, I've bought my tickets to NYC!
There's been a couple of changes though;
instead of being there for just one week,
I've added 3 days to my stay, so I'll be in NYC
a total of 10 long and lovely days!!
And instead of travelling with British Airways
via London, England, I'll travel with
KLM Airlines via Amsterdam, Holland to JFK!

I'll arrive on the 6'th of March and leave the 16'th just before
midnight local time NY.

Now I'm all set and done, and I can't barely wait
to get out of this place and head to New York...

While I'm in New York, I'm gonna hook up with
a couple of friends of mine which I've gotten to know
through the internet (oh r'ly?), and whom I've become
great friends with over the course of the last year since
the infamous "PLG-Saga", which brought the
DMHN-community closer together as a group.

Pat is a french-canadian from Montreal, Quebec,
who's gonna take the 5 hour drive down from Canada
to meet me in New York City. We're gonna have a
blast for sure and we'll set Manhattan on fire when we're
heading out to grab alot of beers for sure!

Jonathan and Brian are NY/NJ locals and hopefully
they'll join us for the beer-spree and last but
not certainly least (well, actually he is:-P);
Andy's hopefully making the trip up from Philadelphia
to hang out with us for a couple of days.

For those of you who doesn't know what DMHN stands for;
DMHN means DoubleMinorHockeyNet and it is a web-site
and a forum for hockey-fanatics, but this site offers so much more
than that. If some member are going through a rough-time
and shares it with the rest of us, you can be damn sure each
and one of us will stand up for him or her and be there
to show our support through difficult times.
If someone's extremely happy for some reason, you can
be sure the rest of us will follow.
Bottom line, it's the internets greatest and best site around!

Looking forward to catch up with you guys!

I'm gonna go to sleep now because I've got a nightshift later tonight
to attend to, and I'm too excited to sleep!
Wooo, this is gonna be a long long night, I can tell you that...

Take care!

The Journey To The Big Apple

Welcome to my travel-blog! My name is Andrés, and through
this blog, I intend to share with you all of the excitement, joy,
ups and hopefully few downs, the pleasure and not at least
my impatience with travelling to the great city of New York, USA.

There is something about New York that's just breathtaking!
From the time that you were a kid, and you've read and learned
about all these stories from the beginning of the 20'th century;
about "The American Dream"; Of all those people who went across
the pond to seek a better fortune and future. New York has always
been a special place to me. Movies that's taken place in New York City,
all the excitement and aura that surrounds this huge city.

New York's always had a special place in my heart and march 6'th
my journey (which will only last for a week, unfortunately), will
begin in the capital of Norway at Oslo Airport, Norway via Heathrow, London,
and then finally John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York.

Starting today, you can follow the countdown for my departure,
view pics from the travel, and follow up on updates and such!

Hope you'll enjoy it!

Cheers!
